On January 8th, 2015,  48 hours before the city of Sun Prairie's deadline to submit nomination forms,  I made the decision to "step it up" and run for one of the 3 open seats on the Sun Prairie School Board after my husband, Jerry, kept whispering in my ear all week that I should just go for it (...and before I talked myself out of it ~ lol).

With major assistance from my phenomenal "unofficial / official" campaign manager, Heather DuBois Bourenane, the overwhelming power of social media, fantastic, local supporters, an ever-growing grass roots effort and the mindset that the people of Sun Prairie are ready & looking for CHANGE, not only did we obtain the minimum, 100 signatures needed for me to be placed on the April 7th ballot, but we EXCEEDED our goal by acquiring an additional 30 sigs -- all within 36 hours in frigid temperatures (what other candidate can say that ??!!!!)
